Abstract
The paper describes a method for the analysis of induction motors. Suc h an approach is based on the use of Finite Element Method for simulat ing no-load and locked rotor tests and for deducing the equivalent cir cuit parameters. A voltage driven formulation is introduced in the sho rt circuit test where rotor currents are unknown. The procedure is app lied to a four pole induction motor. The comparison between computed a nd experimental results is satisfactory.
