Abstract
Mice which were fed antioxidants, consisting of a combination of beta- carotene, alpha-tocopherol and ascorbic acid, or curcumin, ascorbic ac id and chlorogenic acid are substantially protected against gamma-ray induced micronuclei in polychromatic erythrocytes obtained from bone-m arrow. In this context, the relevance of a more balanced intake of foo d material especially those with anticarcinogens/antimutagenic princip les for human health care needs no over-emphasis.
