Hydronephrosis as the first symptom of primary metastasised breast can
cer is described in two case reports. The literature regarding this to
pic is also discussed. Although retroperitoneal metastases are rarely
found, patients with breast cancer should undergo a regular sonographi
c control of the kidneys, simultaneously with the routine ultrasound o
f the upper abdomen.
