Gamma-ray, gammagamma-coincidence, and internal conversion electron sp
ectra were measured with Ge(HP), as well as superconducting and tradit
ional magnetic lens plus Si(Li) electron spectrometers at different bo
mbarding proton energies between 6.5 and 7.1 MeV. Energies and relativ
e intensities of 131 (among them 52 new) Ga-66 gamma-rays have been de
termined. Internal conversion coefficients of 33 transitions were meas
ured for the first time. A more complete level scheme with new levels,
gamma-ray branching ratios, level spin and parity values has been ded
uced. The energy spectrum and electromagnetic properties were calculat
ed on the basis of an interacting boson-fermion-fermion/truncated quad
rupole phonon model for odd-odd nuclei. The model calculations reasona
bly describe the level spectra and electromagnetic properties of Zn-64
, Ga-65, Zn-65 and Ga-66 nuclei with consistent parametrization.
