S. Eckert et al., ABPM - DOES THE AUSCULTATORY OR THE OSCIL LOMETRIC TECHNIQUE RETURN MORE ACCURATE RESULTS, Nieren- und Hochdruckkrankheiten, 23(5), 1994, pp. 236-237
Simultaneous, invasive measurements in 50 patients during diagnostic c
ardiac catheterization revealed that the 24-hour device monitoring blo
od pressure auscultatorily determines diastolic blood pressure more ac
curately than the device monitoring blood pressure oscillometrically.
The systolic blood pressure values were equally accurate from both dev
ices.
