Kj. Edwards et Er. Christophersen, TREATING COMMON SLEEP PROBLEMS OF YOUNG-CHILDREN, Journal of developmental and behavioral pediatrics, 15(3), 1994, pp. 207-213
Getting children to bed and asleep remains a widespread problem for pa
rents and an important area for researchers. Many parents still need a
n effective and simple way to help their children sleep. This paper re
views the literature on early childhood sleep patterns and the advice
that is available for parents whose children are having sleep problems
. Based on current information, help may come from medication and/or b
ehavioral procedures. The effectiveness and limitations of each strate
gy are reviewed.
