Abstract
The hydrotris(3, 5-dimethylpyrazolyl) borate complexes TpMo(CO)(2)X ( X = Cl, I) are rare examples of 16-electron carbonyl derivatives with a spin tripler ground state, which exhibit relatively sharp contact-sh ifted H-1 NMR spectra. Oxidation of TpMoI(CO)(2) led to the isolation and crystallographic characterization of TpMoOI2. Copyright 1997 Els evier Science Ltd.
