The hydrotris(3, 5-dimethylpyrazolyl) borate complexes TpMo(CO)(2)X (
X = Cl, I) are rare examples of 16-electron carbonyl derivatives with
a spin tripler ground state, which exhibit relatively sharp contact-sh
ifted H-1 NMR spectra. Oxidation of TpMoI(CO)(2) led to the isolation
