Abstract
A comparison of the antigenicity and immunogenicity of ISCOM vaccines prepared from equine influenza viruses H3N8 and H7N7 was made with ina ctivated whole-virus vaccines containing equivalent amounts of virus h aemagglutinin. ISCOMs stimulated superior antibody responses in terms of both amount and duration. As with conventional whole-virus vaccines , the levels of antibody to virus haemagglutinin induced by ISCOMs cor related with protection.
