Abstract
The Eurasian monogenean Dactylogyrus amphibothrium Wagener, 1857 is re ported from the gills of ruffe (Gymnocephalus cernuus) in western Lake Superior. The parasite must have arrived with fish discharged with sh ip ballast in the mid 1980s. It is the 12th species of monogenean know n to have been introduced and established with its host in North Ameri ca.
