MASS-SPECTRAL STUDIES ON SOME DITHIOCARBAMATO COMPLEXES OF MANGANESE(III), IRON(III), COBALT(III) AND CADMIUM(II)

Mass spectra of 10 complexes of manganese(III), iron(III), cobalt(III) and cadmium(II) with dithiocarbamates derived from diethylamine, pipe ridine and morpholine have been investigated. The complexes of mangane se(III), iron(III) and cobalt(III) show similar fragmentation behaviou r, while cadmium(II) behaves differently. Molecular ion peaks are obse rved only for cadmium(II) and cobalt(III) complexes. The base peak in all cases is [ML2]+ (M = Mn, Fe, Co or Cd and L = dithiocarbamato grou p).
