Abstract
Very fast gelation was observed in the sol-gel polycondensation of ole finic trialkoxysilanes when performed in the presence of catalytic amo unts of palladium complexes. The palladium activation is proposed as p roceeding by a template effect; the condensation occurred in an intram olecular manner within the coordination sphere of the metal.
