Abstract
Recurrent subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) in the early period following successful clipping of a cerebral aneurysm is unusual. The authors rep ort a unique case of distal basilar artery dissection and fatal SAH on the 6th day postoperatively. It is concluded that this complication w as related to vascular trauma inflicted by repositioning the aneurysm clips during a seemingly uneventful procedure for a basilar artery tip aneurysm.
