Abstract
The effect of concentration on the characteristics of the ultraviolet- visible (UV/VIS) absorption spectra of benzylpenicillin sodium in aque ous solutions was studied. In order to separate the overlapped bands, derivative spectrophotometry was used. The UV-VIS spectral behaviour i n three concentration ranges was distinguished, and was confirmed by s pectrofluorimetric, specific viscosity and surface tension measurement s.
