Abstract
In this paper a correlation is made between the voltammetric profile a nd STM topography of Pt(100) surfaces prepared under different conditi ons. Surfaces with larger ordered domains are obtained when oxygen ads orption on the surface is avoided. The effect of strongly adsorbed spe cies is also studied.
