Abstract
A child treated with chemotherapy for disseminated yolk sac tumor had a residual retroperitoneal mass after normalization of serum alpha-fet oprotein. The mass was excised and histologically showed only fibrous tissue, necrosis and calcification. To our knowledge this is the first case reported of a prepubertal yolk sac tumor associated with a resid ual retroperitoneal mass.
