Abstract
The water requirement for reclamation of salt-affected soils is determ ined under laboratory conditions. A 15-30 cm water depth is required t o reclaim the surface 0-30 cm soil depth and a 30-60 cm water depth is required to reclaim the whole profile to 50 cm depth for a given salt -affected soil and method of water application. This study also provid es a useful tool in the form of a leaching curve to calculate the wate r requirement for the reclamation of some salt-affected soils in Al-Qa sseem, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
