In case of chlamydiosis, the recommanded treatment is doxycycline, 4 m
g/kg/day during 7 days. Macrolides are an other possible choice. Gonoc
occal infection is treated with ceftriaxone 5 mg/kg, single dose. In c
ase of dissemination, the duration should be 7 to 14 days. Early syphi
lis is treated with benzathin-penicilline G, 50.000 units/kg, 2 IM inj
ections. Doxycycline or erythromycine are alternative treatments. The
treatment of genital herpes is, like in adults, acyclovir, 200 mg, ora
l route, 5 times a day during 5 to 7 days. The Haemophilus ducreyi inf
ection is treated by ceftriaxone, 250 mg, single IM dose.
