Abstract
An association between laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma and inappropr iate antidiuresis is described in a 76-year-old man. Even though all a ccepted diagnostic criteria for the syndrome of inappropriate secretio n of antidiuretic hormone were fulfilled, abnormal levels of antidiure tic hormone were not demonstrated, leaving the mechanisms of this hypo natremia unclear.
