The influence of hydrogen on the hyperfine field (Hhf) of metallic gla
ss Fe83.3Si3.5B11.2C2 has been studied by Mossbauer spectroscopy. Hhf
of the alloy changed remarkably after the alloy was hydrogenized. The
average hyperfine field [Hhf] enhanced from 20.0 MA m-1 to 2 1.0 MA m-
1. When the charged alloy was aged at room temperature in air, the hyp
erfine parameters could be partly restored. The restoration was incomp
lete, however, and some permanent effect on these parameters remained
after a long period.
