The practice of the flotation of pure gold and gold-bearing ores such
as tellurides, aurostibite, kerogen, pyrite, pyrrhotite, copper-gold o
res and mixed sulphides is reviewed. The factors which influence the c
hoice of collectors, pH and Eh, are discussed as well as the applicati
on of differential flotation. The importance of proper conditioning is
highlighted and applications of various flotation cells and circuits
briefly discussed.
