Abstract
A previous reinvestigation of the binary phase diagram KNO3-NaNO3 has confirmed the existence of a continous subsolidus solid solution. The mixing enthalpy in this solid phase, determined by solution calorimetr y at 474 K, is presented. A positive and asymmetric deviation from ide ality is observed. The results are well fitted by the Van Laar model.
