Abstract
We present two cases of ventricular obstruction in which shunting of i ntracranial cysts resulted in the unexpected finding of ventricular en largement. By imaging criteria this suggested shunt malformation; howe ver, the clinical presentation dramatically improved. The probable mec hanism for this diagnostic pitfall is discussed.
