Abstract
Fifteen different formulations were prepared using aliphatic based ure thane diacrylate oligomer in combination with five different monomers. Thin films coated on glass plates were cured under ultraviolet (UV) r adiation in the presence of photoinitiator Darocur 1173, Their physica l and mechanical properties were characterized. Pendulum hardness and tensile property studies indicated that the films prepared from the ol igomer in the presence of NVP + TMPTA and NVP + TPGDA were better. The se properties were compared with those of the films cured under the el ectron beam (EB) radiation. This study showed that the UV cured films were better than the EB cured films of the same formulation.
