Abstract
We present model calculation results for the continuum spectra of acti ve galactic nuclei. The SUMA code has been updated and extended in ord er to include consistent calculations of grain temperature and grain s puttering inside the clouds of the NLR. Silicate grains with a radius of 0.2 mum are adopted. The results are discussed and compared with th e observational data. The best fit to the continuum spectra is obtaine d for Seyfert 2 galaxies, indicating that dust resides in the narrow-l ine region clouds.
