A new state of rotating superfluid He-3-A has been found. Instead of q
uantized vortex lines, it consists of a continuous vortex sheet. The s
heet has as a backbone a topologically stable domain wall called solit
on, to which the vorticity is bound. The sheet folds to equidistant la
yers that fill uniformly the rotating container. The new state can eas
ily be created experimentally in spite of its higher energy. Its ident
ification is deduced from nuclear magnetic resonance.
