Abstract
A fully general control system capable of driving almost any kind of i maging array (including conventional CCDS Of two, three and four phase s, charge sweep devices, charge injection devices, and FET-switched ar rays) has been developed. This paper describes the design and operatio n of both the system electronics and software. The control system is b ased around an IBM compatible computer, yet offers an unusual degree o f versatility.
