Abstract
Single crystals of Sr1-xCaxCuO2 with x = 0-0.573 have been grown by a modified Bi2O3 flux technique using different ratios of the earth alka li carbonates. Up to x = 0.573 the SrCuO2 structure type was found. Th e changes of the lattice constants and of the atomic parameters are gi ven. The different temperature dependence of the atomic parameters com paring undoped and doped crystals is discussed. From reaction mixtures with an excess of Ca (Ca: Sr greater-than-or-equal-to 2:1) crystals w ith the composition Ca1.866Sr0.134.CuO3 could be obtained. They crysta llize in the Ca2CuO3 structure type.
