The interactions between gauge vortices both in the same direction (GV
S) and in the opposite directions (GVO) on a triangular lattice are st
udied to be quite different from that between real vortex lines. The s
trong repulsion of GVSs and strong attraction of GVOs at short distanc
e just account for the large energy difference between staggered flux
phases state (FPS) and the uniform FPS.
