L. Santra et al., RAMAN-SPECTROSCOPIC STUDY OF ALANINE DOPED TRIGLYCINE SULFATE FERROELECTRIC SINGLE-CRYSTALS, Journal of physics and chemistry of solids, 55(5), 1994, pp. 405-411
Single crystals of triglycine sulphate doped with different concentrat
ions of alanine were studied by Raman spectroscopy, Bands due to the s
ubspecies modes from the three crystallographically distinct glycine i
ons in the lattice were identified. The anisotropy measurement in spec
ific Raman scattering geometries as a function of concentration of ala
nine allow us to infer that alanine preferentially replaces glycine-I
ions and induces realignment of other glycine units in the lattice.
