Vt. Adonkin et al., EFFECT OF INTERCALATION AND EXFOLIATION ON POSITRON-ANNIHILATION LIFETIMES IN GRAPHITES, Journal of physics and chemistry of solids, 55(5), 1994, pp. 443-446
The influence of intercalation and exfoliation on the electron density
of graphene layers and the defect subsystem of natural graphites was
investigated by positron lifetime spectroscopy. In natural graphites.
two positron annihilation channels with tau1 = 154-228 ps and tau2 = 3
78-615 ps were observed. Intercalation and exfoliation generate a thir
d channel with tau3 = 1.87-2.18 ns caused by positronium annihilation
of defects. The effect of pressing on the annihilation parameters was
studied, and an analysis of experimental results carried out.
