Abstract
The means for HTLV-I and II serodiagnosis have been greatly improved d uring the last years. The screening tests show better sensitivity and higher specificity. Addition of recombinant proteins to Western-blot h as permitted to define more severe criteria of seropositivity for HTLV infection : the presence of at least three bands on rgp21, p19 and p2 4. By another way, some Western-blot profiles correspond to non specif ic HTLV reactions, and will be discussed in this study.
