Abstract
The paper briefly shows the results acquired by research performed in ICPET-SA to burn urban garbage in the main towns of Romania. Generally , they are characterized by a very low calorific power (2265 2621 kJ/k g). Based on these results, garbage incineration plants have been carr ied out. being able to burn the garbage, under self combustion load (w ith no hydrocarbons added to support the flame). having the calorific power of 2345 kJ/kg (560 kcal kg) minimum.
