Abstract
A new species of Pelargonium L'Herit. (Geraniaceae) of the section Cam pylia (Sweet) DC., is described. Illustrations of the macromorphology, leaf anatomy and pollen grain morphology, as well as a distribution m ap, are provided. P. burgerianum J.J.A.v.d.Walt is characterized by da rk, embossed, warty areas on the posterior petals. A key is provided t o distinguish between the five species which have similar areas. A hyb rid origin of P. burgerianum is suggested.
