F. Duhamel et al., COMBINING SDA AND FDTD METHODS FOR THE MODELING OF PLANAR APPLICATORSUSED IN MICROWAVE HYPERTHERMIA, Microwave and optical technology letters, 7(5), 1994, pp. 228-232
An improved bidimensional finite-difference time-domain (2D FDTD) meth
od has been achieved in order to compute all electromagnetic fields in
heterogeneous media when planar microstrip-microslot applicators are
used for microwave hyperthermia. This method consists of combining 2D
FDTD and classical spectral domain approach (SDA). Good agreements are
exhibited with classical SDA, thus allowing the study of inhomogeneou
s media. (C) 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
