L. Vega et al., THE MEASUREMENT OF THE TRIGGERED PROBABILITY DENSITY AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE DIRECT EVALUATION OF THE TRIPLE CORRELATION, J. mod. opt., 41(3), 1994, pp. 563-568
Evaluations of the triple correlation function for different time dela
ys are performed from combinations of the triggered probability densit
y values corresponding to a series of counting times. This technique c
an only be applied to very low light level signals, but ultimately, th
e signal-to-noise ratio obtained by this method is better, for short t
ime delays, than that obtained from a direct measurement of the triple
correlation function.
