Abstract
A part of current veterinary practice is dealing with poisoned domesti c animals. The present paper reviews from a practical point of view, t he specific treatment with antidotes, as well as the use of non specif ic drugs for the elimination of poisons and/or the recovery of vital f unctions. A few recent antidotes are also described.
