Abstract
It has been established experimentally, for the first time, that curre nt sheets can form in 3D magnetic configurations containing a null poi nt. A smooth change in the angular orientation of the current sheet ha s been observed in the transition from a 2D configuration with a null line to various 3D magnetic configurations. It is shown that current s heets can form under conditions such that the electric current is flow ing perpendicular to the separatrix plane.
