Ad. Oxman et al., EVIDENCE-BASED CARE .5. LIFELONG LEARNING - HOW CAN WE LEARN TO BE MORE EFFECTIVE, CMAJ. Canadian Medical Association journal, 150(12), 1994, pp. 1971-1973
The authors have developed by trial and error some guidelines for teac
hing and learning the skills needed to provide evidence-based care. Ed
ucational activities should be applied, participatory, self-directed,
practice-based and practical, and they should focus on high-priority p
roblems: Efficiency should be emphasized, and expectations of how much
any clinician can accomplish should be reasonable.
