Abstract
The group contribution method GCVOL for the estimation of liquid densi ties is extended to compounds such as monocarboxylic acids, tertiary a lcohols, allenes, alkynes, and cycloalkanes. The method is used in the prediction of liquid densities of some complex compounds, including s everal used in the synthesis of vitamins A and E.
