Abstract
The prototype implementation of a high-speed text search processor is presented. The system uses a programmable analogue signal processing d evice based on acoustic charge transport technology. Several text sear ch operations can be performed, including operations with 'don't care' terms, at throughput rates approaching 90 million characters per seco nd.
