Abstract
An electrically tunable singlemode fibre Bragg reflective filter (FBR) is demonstrated for the first time by using a large amount of magneto strictive material in which the fibre is embedded and side-polished. W ith a reflection bandwidth of approximately 1.5nm, the measured tuning range of the FBR filter is 1.3nm.
