Sv. Anisimov et al., SPECTRALLY SELECTIVE TIME-RESOLVED ACTINOMETRY OF VUV RADIATION OF A MOVING GAS-DYNAMIC DISCONTINUITY, Laser physics, 4(2), 1994, pp. 416-418
The experimental data on the radiation emission ability of a strong mo
ving supersonic gas-dynamic discontinuity are presented. The intensity
of radiation was defined by measuring the velocity of the bleaching w
ave in xenon difluoride driven by the discontinuity radiation. For the
spectral range of 130 - 170 nm, the discontinuity-radiation intensity
in krypton is equal to the radiation intensity of a black-body radiat
or at a temperature of about 20 kK. In the optical cavity consisting o
f two plane-parallel mirrors, a pulse of coherent radiation was obtain
ed at a wavelength of 353 nm. The pulse energy reached 10(3) J.
