Abstract
The methods of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray phase analys is were used to study the elementary phase and surface composition as well as component valence states in nickel-based Raney surface catalys ts (Ni-RSC) in their original condition, after Cd adatom modification, and after anodic oxidation. The processes occurring in the surface an d inner catalyst layers during leaching, cathodic polarization, anodic polarization, and immersion treatments of electrodes with RSC were id entified by comparing the data obtained with literature data.
