Ov. Borzenko et al., ELECTROCHEMICAL AND ELECTROCHEMILUMINESCENCE PROPERTIES OF NAPHTHALIMIDE DERIVATIVES, Russian electrochemistry, 29(2), 1993, pp. 335-344
Electrochemical and electrochemiluminescence (ECL) properties of napht
halimide derivatives were studied in three reaction series; the correl
ation of a number of the parameters with the electronic structure of t
he molecules was discussed. The mechanism of ECL emitter formation in
the systems studied could be identified by comparing the electrochemic
al, ECL, and spectroscopic characteristics as well as data obtained fo
r the bimolecular rate constants of filling of different electronic st
ates in the ECL reaction products. Possible uses of certain substitute
d naphthalimides as detector substances in indirect ECL analysis were
examined.
