Abstract
Autoimmune hemolytic anemia is an autoimmune diseases which is reporte
d to be caused by interferon treatment. A 33-year-old male with chroni
c hepatitis C developed Coombs-negative hemolytic anemia, probably due
to administration of interferon-alpha2b. This is, to our knowledge, t
he first report of chronic hepatitis C complicated by Coombs-negative
hemolytic anemia during interferon treatment.
