Scaling relations connecting some, algebraic combinations of parameter
s that characterize initial states of the target and incident radiatio
n with the neutron yield are established on the basis of statistical a
nalysis of experimental data on laser fusion performed with spherical
targets on the installations Volcano (Great Britain), Omega and Nova (
USA), and Gekko (Japan) and with conic targets on the installation Sir
ius (Russia). These relations give the possibility of quantitative est
imation of the temperature in the thermonuclear plasma inside the targ
ets and some other plasma characteristics that are difficult to measur
e directly, for example, the amount of fuel heated to the thermonuclea
r temperature. The existence of scaling relations indicates the genera
lity of processes taking place in the course of laser radiation intera
ction with targets in the considered experiments.
