A systematic study of surface resistance (R(s)) of YBa2Cu3O7-x ceramic
superconductor of different density has been carried out as a functio
n of temperature, frequency, rf and dc magnetic fields. The R(s) of th
e samples of 50 mm diameter has been measured by cavity end plate repl
acement method in the frequency range 10 to 22 GHz using high Q TE01n
mode nlambdag/2 long cylindrical resonators. A definite correlation in
the value of R(s) as well as its frequency, rf and dc magnetic field
dependence with density of the samples has been found.
