Abstract
An fuzzy-control IC for the function of auto-focusing of a video camer a was developed. This fuzzy processor determines the location and the motion of the object by evaluating the focus value and luminance value , which are stored in two dimensional field array. Experiments of scen e-dependent fuzzy inference were made intensively on auto-focusing for various objects in various situations with this IC. It revealed that fuzzy control performs an intelligent control in auto-focusing under t he difficult situations.
