Cr. Schultheisz et Wg. Knauss, THE GOVERNING EQUATIONS OF MOIRE INTERFEROMETRY .2. GRATINGS AT + -45-DEGREES TO THE MEASUREMENT AXES/, Optics and lasers in engineering, 20(4), 1994, pp. 283-293
The analysis of Livnat and Post (Experimental Mechanics, 25(4) (1985)
360-6) is used to show that the fringe patterns observed using grating
s at +/-450 to the desired displacement components (as discussed by Cz
arnek and Post (Experimental Mechanics, 24(1) (1984) 68-74) correspond
to the fringes observed using geometric moire gratings aligned with t
he measurement axes. Such gratings may be interrogated with a three-la
ser-beam interferometer as described by McDonach et al. (Optics and La
sers in Engineering, 1 (1980) 85-105).
