The mass transfer factors affecting rates of oxidative enzymatic react
ions were investigated in two- and three-phase bubble column reactors.
The dependence of gas-liquid oxygen transfer on process and structura
l parameters was studied in detail in intensively aerated bioreactor.
The enzymatic oxidation of glucose to gluconic acid catalyzed by free
and immobilized glucose oxidase was used as a model process.
